Vic: Two children charged over fire
Victorian police say two children are expected to be charged on summons over a fire
in Broadmeadows Valley Park, north of Melbourne.
Police say the two boys, aged 12 and 14, were arrested yesterday in Broadmeadows and
are expected to be charged on summons for criminal damage by fire and car theft.
About 50 hectares of scrub and grass was burnt out in the fire which took 15 appliances
and crews from both the Metropolitan Fire Brigade and the Country Fire Authority over
an hour to extinguish.
The blaze started about 10.30am (AEDT) yesterday.
