Supervisor Kevin M. Dailey asked the Town Board on Thursday to get the ball rolling next week on a plan to set up a municipal water district.
By merging individual private water companies in a single municipal water district the town will be able to distribute water to all sections, including areas that are expected to see the most growth, Dailey said.
"There is sufficient water for all areas in 1989," he said. "We can't tell if there will be sufficient water in 1990."
To get the plan started, the board would have to vote to allow engineers to prepare a map, plan and report on the project, Dailey said. He …
