-Google earns EUR180m from Polish clicks.

3 February 2011 - US Internet giant Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) earned some PLN700m (USD245m/EUR179.6m) in advertising revenue on the Polish market in 2010, according to data of daily Pulsbiznesu published today.

The owner of the world's most popular search engine recorded a 25% annual increase from the PLN540m it generated in Poland for 2009. Google's earnings are seen to grow at a double digit rate in the next years in Poland as according to market observers promoting website visibility through search results makes up 30% of Internet advertising.

Google has gained a position on the country's advertising market that places it on par with a number of TV channels, the daily commented. By comparison, the market leader, TVN (WAR:TVN), booked in 2009 PLN1.2bn in advertising revenue.
